From Gällivare in the north to Ystad in the south
For decades the trend has been clear. Smaller towns lose their stores while the big chains focus on larger cities, larger volumes and larger establishments. What's left are people forced to travel for miles to buy milk, bread or the most basic everyday goods.
"The problem has never been that people stopped shopping. The problem is that small stores became too difficult to run.", says Joakim Assarsson, founder and CEO of 24SJU – the chain behind the unmanned grocery stores that have quickly established themselves in nearly 140 locations where traditional models no longer work.
Since 2021, 24SJU has grown rapidly with one primary goal: to give service back to the countryside. Since then we have opened nearly 140 stores.
Sometimes we are in the countryside, sometimes we are right in the city, but one thing is always certain: we are there where the need arises. Quite simply, we are where you are.
